Changes To How LSAC Calculates The UGPA

College-Level course taken in high school are no longer included in the UGPA calculated by LSAC

LSAC recalculates the college GPA of all U.S. law school applicants, regardless of where you attended college. Historically, LSAC has included all college-level courses in this recalculation, including any college-level courses taken while in high school. However, last week, LSAC announced that they will be changing how they calculate your LSAC GPA. Transcripts submitted on July 28, 2026 or after for college-level courses completed while an applicant was in high school will no longer be included in the LSAC GPA calculation. However, it does appear that these transcripts still need to be submitted with your law school application. LSAC has also indicated that they will recalculate anyone's GPA who is applying in the 2026-2027 cycle who submitted transcripts prior to July 28, 2026 that included college-level courses taken during high school. However, you will need to request this recalculation by contacting Candidate Services at (800) 336-3982 or lsacinfo@lsac.org. with "GPA Recalculation" as the subject of your e-mail.
